From Eastside:
Take either West SR 520 or West I-90 and get on I-5 South. Take Exit 163A to West Seattle Bridge and get off at Harbor Ave Exit. Turn right at stop light. Stay on Harbor Ave which becomes Alki Ave for 3.25 miles. Park on street and meet at the miniature version of Statue of Liberty.
From North:
Get on I-5 South. Take Exit 163A to West Seattle Bridge and get off at Harbor Ave Exit. Turn right at stop light. Stay on Harbor Ave which becomes Alki Ave for 3.25 miles. Park on street and meet at the miniature version of Statue of Liberty.
From South
Take I-5 North. Take Exit 163 to West Seattle Bridge and get off at Harbor Ave Exit. Turn right at stop light. Stay on Harbor Ave which becomes Alki Ave for 3.25 miles. Park on street and meet at the miniature version of Statue of Liberty

Course Description
September 2008 Special: West Seattle Scramble
This West Seattle Run includes the special feature of a scramble. The run
leader will give you a map marked with numerous locations. You bring a pen or pencil
and choose your route. Reach as many points and answer as many questions as you
can in 60 minutes. The person to arrive back at the statue at the end of 60 minutes
with the most points wins. Full rules will be enumerated at the start of the run.
What’s playing at the Admiral Theater?
This course that’s just over 6 miles (10.2 kilometer) offers you the opportunity
to see urban Seattle life by taking you along Puget Sound and Elliot Bay as well
as through the Admiral Junction.
Start by facing the Statue of Liberty replica
Take a moment to capture a view of Puget Sound
Turn to your right and begin running along the bike path (The bike path is marked
every ¼ mile with the first ¼ mile mark across from the Statue)
Run all the way around the point
Cross the street at the cross walk just before you reach Seacrest Marina Park (where
the Water Taxi stops)
Begin your uphill journey on California Way SW
Follow California Way until it loops around and becomes California Ave SW
As you approach the Admiral Junction you’ll pass the Admiral Theater; take a moment
to see what’s playing that evening
Turn right at SW Admiral Way and enjoy the downhill slope of your earlier climb
Turn left 59th Ave SW Turn right at SW Andover St
Turn right at Beach Dr SW and stay on Beach until it becomes Alki Ave SW and returns
you to your start
Over hill and through the woods to the Coleman Pool
This nearly 8.5 mile course (nearly 14 kilometers) offers you the chance
to see West Seattle before and after along with a special treat for the kid in you
Start by facing the Statue of Liberty replica
Take a moment to capture a view of Puget Sound
Turn to your right and begin running along the bike path
Don’t settle into your run too quickly
Turn right at 59th Ave SW and travel one block
Turn left at SW Lander St and travel one block
Turn right at 58th Ave SW
Enter Schmitz Preserve Park at the end of the street
Follow the marked path through the park’s trails
Exit the park onto SW Hinds St and stay on Hinds until you reach 48th Ave SW
Take a right onto 48th Ave SW
Follow 48th Ave SW until it connects with Beach Dr SW
Follow Beach Dr SW down the Dead End where it connects to the foot path to Lincoln
Park
Just after entering Lincoln Park take the trail on your left up the hill
Take the trail to your right at the top of the hill; this parallels the trail next
to the water
Follow the trail all the way down to the shelters
There’s a children’s zip line near the shelters; feel free to enjoy a ride or two
Head down the trail to the restrooms and water
Turn right once you’ve reached the paved trail next to the water
Travel past Coleman Pool and onto the gravel path along the water
Stay on Beach Drive SW once you leave the park
Follow Beach all the way back until it becomes Alki Ave SW and returns you to your
start

Start by facing the Statue of Liberty replica
Take a moment to capture a view of Puget SoundTurn to your right and begin running
along the bike path (The bike path is marked every ¼ mile with the first ¼ mile
mark across from the Statue)
Run all the way around the point to Seacrest Marina Park and take a moment to note
the next departure of the West Seattle Water Taxi (just over 2 miles from the Statue
of Liberty replica)
Follow your heart and feet as long as you want to go (Salty’s is just less than
2.5 miles from the Statue of Liberty replica, the West Seattle Bridge is about 3.5
miles from the Statue of Liberty replica)
Typical Courses:
FLAT course with various distances of up to 7 Miles
A flat out and back beginning at the Statue of Liberty using the bike lane/sidewalk that parallels Alki Ave and Harbor Ave.
The bike lane is marked every 1/4 mile (the Statue of Liberty is near the 1/4 mile mark). The bike lane/sidewalk continues out, uninterrupted past the 3-1/2 mile mark.
This course is toward the direction of downtown Seattle and provides scenic views of
-Elliot Bay
-Downtown Seattle
- The ferries leaving from the Seattle Water front
- The Space Needle, Key Arena, Qwest Field, and Safeco Field
Choose the turn around point of you preference.
HILLY 5.8 Miles
Begin at the Statue of Liberty and go east towards the direction of downtown Seattle
About a 1/4 mile past the northernmost point (the area where many people park and take pictures of downtown Seattle) is where California Ave starts (across the street on your right)
California Ave ascends back in the direction of the northernmost point before switching back and heading south. The hill is about a mile in length.
Stay on California Ave up the hill to Admiral Way
Go Right on Admiral Way by the Chevron Station
Follow Admiral Way downhill to 63rd Ave SW
Take a Right on 63rd Ave SW
63rd will connect with Alki Ave at a T intersection
Cross Alki Ave
Take a Right on Alki Ave and run back to the Statue of Liberty
FLAT 8.3 Miles
Begin at the Statue of Liberty and go west away from downtown Seattle
Stay on Alki which eventually turns into Beach
Stay on Beach all the way down to Lincoln Park
Right before the five mile mark you will continue on Beach, the right hand fork. It looks like a back alley. Do not go up the hill.
Run around the Swimming Pool in Lincoln Park and return
